Chris Lazaroff is the person behind CL Cachets. Chris started the line in 1985, with a cachet for Scott 2134 - 14c Ice Boat in the Transportation coil series. He has been producing cachets continuously since that time. These cachets are printed commercially, almost exclusively in a single color. This takes incredible design talent to produce well thought out cachets that are not in full color. The cachets will draw on classic prints or contemporary art. He has won the Earl Planty award for “Best Single Color Printed Cachet” six times and swept the category in three of the last four years. With this, Chris has dominated this particular category.

S&T cachets started in 1990 by Thomas O’ Hagan specialize in limited edition quality cachets. Tom has won 23 best of category or honorable mention awards since 1993 at the American First Day Cover convention cachet maker’s competition. S&T cachets offers three choices for collectors. A line of color reproduction First Day and event covers on hand made envelopes. The second line is FDC’s usually printed in black. Covers made from USGS maps represent the third line available to collectors. Map covers are produced in very limited quantities.
